Italtel's quality concept has been manifested over time by participation in a number of organizations and international bodies which regulate and work towards higher quality levels.
Italtel's Quality System is certified ISO 9001 since 1992.
This quest for quality has also been rewarded by a significant number of awards . For example, in 2005 Italtel received the 'Certificate of Excellence' issued by Sincert, the national system for the accreditation of certification and inspection bodies.
Within the Quality System of Italtel, the Security plays an important role for the efficiency and service continuity of all the company structures. In 2007, in accordance with its Corporate Security guidelines, Italtel has consolidated its engagement for the Company’s Security achieving the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 new Certification, formerly CSQ British Standard (BS) 7799, for the Information Security System concerning three important Italtel operative units: Professional Services, Network Care IT Solution Operation Services, Security & IT Services.
In particular, the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Certification has been granted to the Italtel operative units for the high level of Services to Customer including Network Management, Maintenance and Security Services. This is an important achievement, which consistently increases the quality of Italtel’s Security standards in the delivery and management of professional services for telecom operators.
Finally Italtel obtained, just in 2001, the ISO 14001 Environmental Certification for the Carini plant.
